FC Dallas Officially Signs Scott Sealy and Alex Lee

Both Scott Sealy and Alex Lee have been on the FC Dallas roster all preseason long but today the club officially announced the signing of the two players.

Sealy is a veteran of six MLS seasons that has scored 31 goals and nine assists in 128 appearances. After being traded to the San Jose Earthquakes from Sporting Kansas City midway through the 2008 season, Sealy racked up three goals and four assists in 40 appearances for the Earthquakes. The 5'10" forward spent the 2009 season playing with Maccabi Tel Aviv FC of the Israeli Premier League. He scored one goal in 14 appearances with the club that season.

Lee was the first pick in the 2012 MLS Supplement Draft for Dallas (11th overall).

"Scott is an experienced and successful forward," said FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman. "He knows the league well and works very hard. He came in here and had a great preseason, scoring a bunch of goals. We are really glad to be able to add him to our strike force heading into this season."

Sealy is also a member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Team, for which he has scored two goals in 25 appearances.

Lee captained Maryland to a 14-4-3 season in 2011. He finished his college career with four assists in 65 appearances.

"We were really surprised Alex was still available with the 11th pick," said Hyndman. "He has really lived up to our expectations after seeing him during his senior season at Maryland. He reminds me a lot of Zach Loyd. He is versatile. He can play as either a center back of or right back. Alex is very strong defensively and his abilities getting forward and joining the attack improve every day."
