2012 FC Dallas Television Broadcast Team and Schedule Revealed
Today FC Dallas announced their local TV broadcast schedule and announcers for the upcoming season. Play by Play duties will be split by Dallas Mavericks TV announcer Mark Followill and former Houston Dynamo radio man Jonathan Yardley. Bringing on Followill, a voice that is highly recognizable for Dallas sports fans, is a huge coup for FC Dallas while Yardley brings a good amount of MLS experience to the booth.
The color commentary duties will be handled by a quartet of former MLS players in Brian Dunseth, Ian Joy, Dante Washington and Steve Jolley. Three of these guys, Dunseth, Joy and Jolley, I've heard on MLS broadcasts before and they all bring some good qualities to the booth.

Well done
Good hires. No one will ever replace BR19.
One whinge
FSSW Plus sucks
Not HD and the games don’t show up as available for DVR so if it’s a home game forget about it.
But I guess compared to a few years ago I can’t complain

yep...
didn’t want to complain after my diatribe about the media on a previous post…glad you did…+ sucks, for sure…the reason why it goes + is there is a conflict with the Texas League alll star game or something earth shattering…

agreed
it always drove me nuts being able to set a reminder on that channel for a game ><

ugh yes agree
is there a smart TV tech person who can explain why that ONE CHANNEL does not have programming in the guide and we cant set reminders or record anything on it? i guess i am glad that i even have that pos channel to watch those games and since they are almost all home games i will be able to watch in person anyhow…still, i do like to nerd out and rewatch the recorded version when i get home from the match sometimes.
ps: i hope followill comes up with a cool catch phrase for when we score. maybe even player-specific stuff…“brek em off some” or “blas blasts it home”. you know, some nice cheesy stuff
How about
“And they score on that!”

Bringing in Followil....
Is huge!!! Sounds like a great team for FCD. I am very excited about this! I’m assuming Followil will be the play by play unless he is doing Mavericks games?
