FCD opens against Colorado, travels to New England early in the season

MLS announced their First Kick games today and we know that FC Dallas will host Oscar Pareja and the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, March 2 to open the season at FC Dallas Stadium. 2013 will represent the sixth-straight season that FCD opens at home and this match will be the only time Dallas hosts Colorado all season as they are slated to travel to the Mile High City twice in 2013.

Last season, FC Dallas finished 2-0-1 against the Rapids, losing the first matchup of the season to Pareja in a game marred by two first half red cards to FCD. In their final two meetings, both after the return of David Ferreira, Dallas came out on top 2-1 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park and then 3-2 at FC Dallas Stadium.

We also know another of FCD's early games next season as they will play in the New England Revolution's home opener at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, March 23. Interestingly enough, this is a CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying weekend date, though looking far ahead, Dallas doesn't seem to be losing anyone to the national team any time soon.
