Comments following the 3-3 draw with San Jose costs Schellas Hyndman some dough.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined FC Dallas Head Coach Schellas Hyndman an undisclosed amount for public criticism of the officials following his team's 3-3 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes on Sept. 29, 2012.
The comment that probably cost him the undisclosed fine was probably this little nugget.
"Maybe we'll get some good officiating and continue to score three goals," Hyndman said.
The MLSDC continues to come down hard on folks this season and Hyndman slipped up here. It is as simple as that. Earlier in the day Portland Timber's owner Merritt Paulson was fined $25,000 for his comments on the officials. I doubt Hyndman's was anywhere near that number but it goes to show, you talk about the refs in a certain way and the league will come down on you.
For those wondering what happens to these fines, they are collected and will be donated to the charitable partners of MLS W.O.R.K.S. and the MLS Players Union.
