Interesting,
Seems like Castillo will be manning the right side.
A man from Dallas who bleeds red, not silver and blue.
NICE!
I didn’t read the article linked the first time through. I am very impressed to see Brek mentioning RVP. Despite my being an arsenal fan; RVP is one of the best lefties in the world right now – if only Brek could spend some time with Gareth Bale, another amazing lefty!

best offseason ever league-wide?
http://www.mlssoccer.com/offseason-transactions/2011-12
Reading over this list and seeing the names all at once, it really struck me just how much talent has signed on in MLS over this winter. More than any other I can recall.
Blas Perez. Lee-Young Pyo. Kris Boyd. Seattle picked up three strong prospects from Europe, NYRB and the Union plundered overseas as well. Colorado expects great things from Castrillon too apparently. Add a fairly strong Superdraft on to that, and I think we’re poised to see the league really increase its standing in 2012. (i’m probably actually missing a few important signings in this list…)
There’s only a couple of teams that lost more than they gained I suspect…the two from Los Angeles. Maybe add RSL and SKC to that list…Omar Bravo was a huge loss, but Teal Bunbury and C.J. Sapong should be able to offset that.
Most of the cellar dwellers in 2011 did a lot to strengthen their position for 2012. San Jose and Vancouver certainly did. Sadly though, not the Revolution. I hope they have some big announcements still to come, or 2012 likely won’t be the start of a new era they were hoping for.
