Plenty of Reason to Watch Saturday's FC Dallas Friendly

TORONTO - NOVEMBER 20: Andrew Wiedeman #23 of FC Dallas and his teammates warm up during practice in preparation for the MLS Cup against the Colorado Rapids at BMO Field on November 20 2010 in Toronto Canada. (Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)

Almost exactly three months to the day since Dallas was eliminated from the MLS Cup playoffs by New York, FCD will return to the pitch on Saturday morning to take on Houston Baptist at 11AM. While the first friendly of the season is still the first friendly of the season, there's a lot of reason to head up to FCD Stadium tomorrow morning and check this one out.

Who will stick around? Schellas told Todd Date of 3rd Degree "Saturday is going to be a decision maker" for the guys on trial for the past two weeks. Guys like Martin John, Scott Gordon and a couple of other trialists can earn a trip to Mexico with the team by playing well in this game. If you don't play well against Houston Baptist tomorrow, well thanks and good luck.

What first teamers want to make a statement? Andrew Wiedeman has seemed to come into the early stages of pre-season as a guy that really wants to stake his claim for regular playing time. What better way to do that than to go out and dominate tomorrow? If you're Victor Ulloa or Bruno Guarda, tomorrow is a fantastic chance to impress the gaffer and put your nose above a couple other guys.

It's one of your only chances before March 11 After tomorrow, the team departs for a week in Cancun then returns for a couple of weeks which will include a friendly against Tulsa and maybe one or two other games. You've got maybe 1 or 2 other chances to see the team in game action before March 11.

If you can't make the game follow Big D Soccer on Twitter for some play by play and Like us on Facebook

Thanks!

For the play by play. I’m interested to hear who did and did not impress.

Sealy....

With the brace. Moises and Wiedeman scoring. This Hines guy. Did the two new trialista play for FC Dallas today that Todd Date mentioned over at the 3rd Degree?

Sealy and Hernandez

Sealy seemed to be every where on the pitch today. He had some good looks and was there to clean up the rebounds. Moises was a man among boys as he slashed HBU’s defense. Both were very impressive.

Great to here about both of them.

I am hoping Moises can be solid off the bench if needed this year and Sealy.. well you know we need a little bit of depth at forward. Great so far. No trialists impressed huh?
