FC Dallas Stadium Signs 15-Year Deal With Legends Hospitality
Concessions have been a complaint since the day Pizza Hut Park was opened and it seems FC Dallas has finally done something definitive about it. The Centerplate and Sodexo days are over as FCD Stadium has partnered with Legends Hospitality, the Jerry Jones/NY Yankees joint venture that manages concessions at Cowboys Stadium and Yankees Stadium.

And, by the way...
…this article from the weekend about Legends’ involvement with the new 49ers stadium indicates to me a company which seems eager to grow quickly. I don’t think “Legends Field” is completely a pipe dream.

Hah
That would be something…maybe we could get Jerry to buy the team.

don't make me cry...
Can you imagine Jerry in the press referring to Brek as the “QB” of the team…

Owner and GM
Can you imagine Jerry making all the personnel decisions?
Hey
Jerry Jones is the best owner in sports and the worst GM…wouldn’t be bad to have him bankrolling things.
Wait, we ONLY have to pay our best player $500,000?! Sign him up!

sure does
that’s what I thought this post was talking about when I first saw it on Facebook. Kind of a buzzkill to open it up and find out we’re only talking about concessions. Oh well.

Pricing
Do you think this means prices will go up, on items such as beer?
If they fuck with the beer garden,
there will be riots.

Hah
no kidding…
No clue about prices going up…I doubt it.

The pricing was what I was a little worried about when I first read this....
That is only because Jerry World is ridiculously expensive. Other than that concessions needed to be changed and I’m glad it was done.
I thought
that HSG and Jerry Jones had some sort of beef with each other.
Bright side of Pizza Hut dropping out?
Can’t imagine Legends would have even considered forced Pepsico products.

good question
not sure how the contract works…is it three separate entities? e.g. HSG (1) outsources management of concession operations to Legends (2) who sell food/drink products from another party (3) – formerly Yum/PH/Pepsi?
I doubt Legends would care what food/beverage he’s providing as long as its profitable….especially if it’s a JJ play since he was comfortable with switching from Coke to Pepsi with the Cowboys.
Things that make you go Hmm...
A few months back I saw a group of people with Cowboys Stadium shirts and hand scanners. They were looking at the lines at the concession stand, and one asked me “Is this usual?” I responded “always”. My guess, this has been a working deal for months.
The Red Shamrock Union
DTID!
Sodexo?!?
That’s the same clown act that runs some of our miserable dining facilities here in Kandahar! This explains a lot.
