FC Dallas Pre-Season Schedule Released

FRISCO, TX - APRIL 8: David Ferreira #10 of FC Dallas is cheered on by fans as he prepares to take a corner kick during the second half of a soccer game against the Colorado Rapids at Pizza Hut Park on April 8, 2011 in Frisco, Texas. FC Dallas won 3-0. (Photo by Brandon Wade/Getty Images)

The pre-season is almost finally upon us. FC Dallas released their pre-season schedule today and it includes two trips away from Frisco. We knew FCD would be competing in the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic, but interestingly Dallas will be traveling down to Cancun for a week-long stay with Mexican first division side Atlante FC.

It all begins on Sunday and Monday as players report for pre-season entrance physicals then begin training Tuesday the 17th. Dallas will spend two weeks in Frisco before heading to Mexico, then spend two more weeks before going down to Orlando. In those two week spans, expect Dallas to take on SMU, Memphis and possibly one or two other local teams.

Jump for the full pre-season schedule including their schedule of games while in Orlando.

Atlante finished 14th in Mexico last year. Hacken finished 6th in Sweden. Orlando City won the USL Pro Championship. Toronto we still need to serve a dish of revenge (cold). Should be just the right amount of challenge for a solid preseason.

With Jackson appearing to be out, we need a lot of mesh time, cuz this isn’t looking like the fcd of 2011 at all!

And...

that could be a good thing actually. I’d like to think that it was all due to Schellas’ horrible management/rotation of the squad…but maybe we just weren’t that good.

eh

well it could be nice to think that, but good or not, the guys were beat up and drained. Either way, no ccl this year and a much longer season I’d like to think he learned a little something from last year and we shouldn’t have the same fatigue issues.

Preseason. Time for......

Trialists. Buzz is saying that Scott Sealy is coming in on a trial. Does he have a chance or is he Galindo 2.0?
