George John talked to the media after practice today.

What's the situation right now?

You guys know pretty much as much as I do. Coach Schellas [Hyndman] told me last week that they made a bid for me and that's all I really know right now.

What are your thoughts?

Obviously it's a tremendous honor, it's an opportunity to play in the best league in the world so it's exciting. I understand FC Dallas as an organization and the league have to make a decision so we'll se how it goes, it's kind of out of my hands right now and that's life

Would it be bittersweet to leave FC Dallas in the middle of the season?

Yes and no, obviously I have a great group of guys here, tons of friends and we're doing really well this year. We had a great season last year. Its a good team, we're a good team and I don't know what's going to happen so I may be here still, I may not who knows.

You have a Greek passport so there would not be any work permit issues correct?

That's correct, I'm a Greek citizen

Is this something you've given any thought to before that this might happen?

Obviously as a professional soccer player you want to reach as far as you can and play at the highest possible level. So obviously EPL is the best league in the world, it's a huge dream and if it happens that would be great.

How long has this been on the radar screen?

It's been on the radar screen as long as you guys have known pretty much. It just came out of nowhere, I'm not sure how it happened but that's the situation at hand right now

So right now you're just talking with your agent and the league to see where things go?

Yeah, you know it's more in the hands of FC Dallas and the league right now.

Do you feel like a move to England might get you into the US National Team picture better?

Yeah, I think I've proven myself in this league and obviously I've had one call up to the January camp, it's a dream to represent your country and we'll see what happens there. [He said he hasn't talked to head coach Jurgen Klinsmann]

Obviously this sounds like a player possibly on the move. It seems like he wants to go to England and who could blame him but the transfer fee has to be worked out.
