FC Dallas Signs American Defender Jack Stewart on Loan for Remainder of 2011 Season

Stay connected for news and updates

We've been clamoring for defensive depth to be added to the roster before the deadline and news has broken via Inside Minnesota Soccer that American defender Jack Stewart is joining FC Dallas on loan for the remainder of 2011 from NASL side NSC Minnesota Stars.

Stewart will go on loan to FC Dallas for the remainder of the season for an undisclosed fee. With the deal, Dallas has an option to purchase his contract from Minnesota for a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

Stewart spent three seasons in MLS with Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake before moving to Norway. Stewart has struggled with injuries the past few seasons, but has apparently had a good season in the NASL with Minnesota.

Jack played for John Ellinger in Real Salt Lake so it's certainly a player that the coaching staff is familiar with. He also spent 4 years at Notre Dame and pretty much any player that has played 4 years in college you know Schellas has a full scouting report for.
