It shouldn't be shocking to see more FC Dallas players on the MLS Team of the Week list now that the club is doing well. After a week with two games (three if you count the one last Sunday against Real Salt Lake), it was going to take a lot not to have a couple guys stand out and be honored for their play.
Brek Shea and Ugo Ihemelu had stellar weeks in week 11 and today they were named to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week.
Here's what they had to say about each:
DF: Ugo Ihemelu (FC Dallas) - His composure and calm under duress is a big reason why FC Dallas were able to get results on the road against two of the league's most dangerous attacking sides in Seattle and Houston.
MF: Brek Shea (FC Dallas) - He needs to sign a contract extension every year. Since penning his new deal a few weeks ago, there's a renewed purpose to Shea's game and a belief that he can impose himself on matches and be decisive.
Congrats to Ugo and Brek on a well deserved honor!
