FC Dallas played their second preseason game of this week today in a 1-0 loss to the New England Revolution. Dallas started a fixed group of players, mostly young ones including two Home Grown players getting their first starts of the year. Moises Hernandez and Bryan Leyva picked up starts while a Schellas Hyndman played other young players like newcomer Andrew Jacobson, Andrew Wiedeman, rookies Bobby Warshaw, Alexis Pradie and Scott Gordon.
Once again the club was done in by an early goal from New England midfielder Sainey Nyassi. The second-year striker Zach Schilaski cut through the middle of the pitch and fed a nice ball to Nyassi who beat his defender (from the sounds of it he beat M. Hernandez) and Chris Seitz for the game's only goal.
Dallas tried to maintain possession and build on the attack from there on but were unable to get by Rev's keeper Matt Reis. Trialist Maykel Galindo and had a few chances but was unable to get a solid strike on goal. The good news for Galindo here is that he is looking healthy according to reports.
FC Dallas returns to the field tomorrow evening in the first match of the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic against USL-Pro side Orlando City. The game will be streamed live on MLSSoccer.com at 5pm CT.
