In a Q&A posted on the El Heraldo website, Colombian defender Hernan Pertuz confirms he has signed a contract with FC Dallas and will be here to begin pre-season. Pertuz mentions that he is familiar with the Colombians both on FC Dallas and in Seattle. Pertuz figures to slot in as the first backup center back behind George John and Ugo Ihemelu and as someone who turns 23 in March, he could be a big part of the team going forward. This could also mean the rumored arrival of defenders from Tauro FC doesn't happen now.
